Belmont Park isn’t just celebrating its 100th birthday in 2025, it is sharing its birthday with our country, as it opened on July 4th in 1925. Its history is a long and rich one, scattered with a few close calls as it nearly ended up shutting its gates forever more than once. Today, this park stands strong, serving as an eternal nod to the joy of summer. There’s no better way to spend a summer day than by spending it at the park, and families have been doing so throughout the decades, and although Disney and even Universal Studios offers better press, we can assure you that the fun you will have at Belmont Park will become memories that you will hold close to your heart forevermore.
The Rides
Offering rides that will delight guests of all ages, you will find big thrills (Beach Blaster), tiny thrills (Liberty Carousel), and a chance to experience history with a ride on the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, a ride that has withstood the test of time, being an iconic thrill almost since opening day. The Giant Dipper is also about to celebrate its 100th birthday this year; the wooden coaster has survived earthquakes, fires, and hard times.
